Diwali 2022

Across the world Hindus will be celebrating Diwali a major festival in the Hindu religion but little may know that Diwali is actually a five-day festival. 

On the first day of Diwali is Dhanteras according to the Hindu lunar calendar the 13th lunar day of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Ashwin. The meaning of Dhanteras is 'Dhan' which means wealth and 'Teras' which means 13th day of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Ashwin. 

Also, on this auspicious day of Dhanteras Hindus worship of the protection of their wealth also on this day Goddess Lakshmi is worship as she is the Goddess of wealth, love, abundance and beauty, even a special ceremony is carried out to worship Goddess Lakhmi at Mandirs (Hindu temples) and at homes in the Ghar Mandir (home shrine).  

On the day of Dhanteras people would go out shopping buying new clothes mostly traditional, jewelleries, gold coins, silver coins and utensils.

On the second day of Diwali is Naraka Chaturdashi also called Kali Chaudas or Choti Diwali on this day we remember the evil King Narakasura who stole people's wealth and also kidnapping 16000 women and capturing them as slaves and the only person they would look up to for help was there good king of Dwarka Lord Krishna which him and his army killed Narakasura army and then Lord Krishna killed Narakasura and then release the prisoners which was the 16000 women also Lord Krishna requested the women to go back to their cities and towns but the women refused and said my family won't accept us as we lived with a demon for all these years. 

The only man the women wanted to make a new life was with Lord Krishna, so Lord Krishna married the 16000 women and make sure every woman gets the respect in society.

On the third day of Diwali is Lakshmi Puja and on this day is the actual day of Diwali and what happens on this day is Hindus light traditional clay candles also known as Diya to welcome the goddess Lakshmi into the houses and also fireworks are fired on this day, even on this day it marks the return of Lord Rama his wife Sita and Lord Rama's younger brother Lakshman to Ayodhya (their hometown) after a fourteen-year exile. 

Also, the reason why Lord Rama and his wife Sita and Lakshman was sent away for fourteen years is because Lord Rama's father King Dasharatha's second wife Kaikeyi wanted the throne for her son Bharata and so she demanded exile for Rama and the throne for Bharata in a boon from king Dasharatha. 

Even the other thing is when Lord Rama along with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshman went into the forest the evil King Ravna's sister Shurpanakha she wanted to full in love with Lord Rama which she found him good looking also she adopted a beautiful form to entice him, but Rama meanwhile kindly rejected her advances and he told Shurpanakha that he is faithful to his wife Sita, and he would never take another wife. 

Shurpanakha then approached to Rama younger brother Lakshman, but Lakshman rejected Shurpanakha as he was married to Sita's younger sister Urmila as Urmila she was in Ayodhya during this incident, Shurpanakha was feeling very angry, and she turned into her demonic form and made an attempt to attack Sita from then Lakshman cut off Shurpanakha nose and then Shurpanakha went to Ravana and Ravana wanted revenge so he kidnapped Sita and took her to Lanka which today is called Sri Lanka.

When Lord Rama found out his wife had been kidnapped, he was very upset, and he would do anything to get his wife back, so he ordered to get an army together alongside with that Rama became good friends with Hanuman who was a monkey king Hanuman understand Rama feelings and Rama understands Hanuman. 

Also, Hanuman got his army of monkeys together Rama got his army together and then built a bridge from India across to Lanka as they arrived at Lanka and Ravana found out he got his army ready to fight with Rama, so the battle began and Rama killed Ravana and then rescued his wife, Sita. From there Rama, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman made the way to Ayodhya the people of Ayodhya welcome Rama, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman by lighting clay candles called Diya and that night fireworks were fired to celebrate the return after fourteen-years and from there Lord Rama was King of Ayodhya and Sita was Queen. 

On the fourth day of Diwali is Annakut also called in the English language as Hindu new year on this day Mandirs (Hindu temples) offer a mountain of Indian Vegetarian food approximately 1250 or 2,551 different vegetarian food to God and the different forms of God known as deities to express thanks and gratitude. 

On the fifth and the final day of Diwali is called Bhai Beej on this day, brothers visit the sister if she is married and away if not married and in the same home, siblings get together to do the tikka ceremony also this tika ceremony on the occasion of Bhai Beej signifies the sister's sincerest prayers for the long and happy life of her brother and treat them with gifts. In return, elder brothers bless their sisters and may treat them also with gifts the brother also does the same praying for his sister long and happy life.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir Coventry finally opens

After 6 Months during of the refurbishment and the building work of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir has finally opened which Hindus and followers of Lord Swaminarayan has been waiting for it to open and everyone who came to see the Mandir they said "It feels like going to a new location and is full of peace ". 

Even this Mandir is a place of worship which people will be coming to the Mandir to say there prayers but the Mandir will used for as well as providing a place of worship for the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha sect, it will also offer activities for children, healthcare and will host charitable events , which in Hinduism there are lots festivals such as Maha Shivaratri , Holi , Ganesh Chaturthi, Krishna Janmashtami, ram navami - swaminarayan jayanti which the two festivals are celebrated on the same day and Diwali.

As the Mandir role is to teach the younger generations how to respect their elders and also how to have respect for their religion which it help by running Classes at the centre include arts and music, Sunday school, and social groups for all ages. Also like in any other religions like Christianity they have Sunday mass but for this Mandir they call there mass “Sabha” which it takes place every Sunday and volunteers will be sharing and telling religious stories and learn from each other what is right and what is wrong.

The Mandir prayers are peace and they want to show that they are going to show the rest of the world how people in Coventry can live in peace together and respect each others religions and cultures as Coventry has won the city of culture 2021.

The Mandir has kindly told us about there religion: Hindusim is over 4,000 years old, making it one of the world' oldest religions. Central to Hinduism is the belief in a supreme God - Brahman. Brahman is present everywhere and there is a part of Brahman in everyone. Hindus worship in a temple called a mandir. Mandirs vary in size from small village shrines to large buildings, surrounded by walls.  Hindus believe that life is a cycle of birth, death and rebirth. They also believe what happens in the next life depends on how the previous life was lived. Also Hindus have a strong belief on Karma.

My feelings towards my new Hindu temple

Tomorrow is going to be a very big day because of the new BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir opening in Coventry which it will be a very good opportunity for Hindus to see an ceremony of the opening of the Mandir , and a ceremony of putting the lives in the Murti ( statue)which we Hindus believe that we are asking from God to take sits in these Murti( statue) . 

The reason why we have a Murti ( statue) in the Mandir is because the eyes represents that God can see you and the ears that God can hear you , the nose that God can smell you and the hands that God can touch and bless you . The Murti ( statue) is not God is something to connect to God through the images . 

Blackkklansman

Have you seen this new Hollywood film called Blackkklansman and you might think whats the film about .

This film is about how black Americans where treated since they came to America and in the 1970s they are treated badly and this film is all about racism so people know how to respect everyone's beliefs , faiths and peoples skin color . So i'm going to tell you more detail whats the film is about and what is the plot to this film .

In the start of the film the setting shows that the film is seated in the 1970s and a new black american police officer wants to join into the police department called Ron Stallworth and he wanted to join into the police department but first the chief said no because we never had an black officer so what Ron said that my great great granddad was in the army then Ron said a few messengers then afterwards the chief said you are hired and the chief who hired Ron was called Chief Bridges . 

Afterwards when Ron was hired into the job few officers didn't like him but few did liked him so they give him job in the record section, then he gets very board so he asked the chief that he can do a real police officer job so they give him an undercover job which he won't be in a uniform so he will be dressed like other people but on his body the tech team put like microphone so if someone speaks to Ron the tech team in the car which they have the voice recorder so they can hear which area of information they have to collect . 

But the first undercover job Ron was set to is the meeting of Black Americans which in that meeting they were discussing how upsetting they feel how white Americans treat black Americans if they are some sort of slaves and they don't see it that they are humans and they do have feelings. So when Ron reached where the meeting was hailed first he met an college girl which she was  twice younger then Ron , as the meeting was over then Ron had a meeting with the chief telling why they are not happy the way they get treated by white Americans and the voice recorder in the meeting it shows that they mentioned of the K.K.K  which means Ku Klux Klan which that is an racism organisations and they think that they have the right to do anything . 

Afterwards Ron stared to hang out with the college girl the one he met  at the meeting how black Americans don't feel conformable, and he took to her to the pub so in that way they are dating but the college girl called Patrice Dumas she doesn't know that Ron is the police officer so Patrice talks about the police department and she said that the police don't do anything us help and they arrest us for no reason and few officers from the police station Ron works some officers sexual assaulted her. So for a few hours they have a conversion about the police then they talk about other things. 

When Ron went back to the police station he was set an another task which he have to solve who is behind the whole organisations of the K.K.K so Ron had to speak to Walter Breachway on the phone about him joining into the K.K.K but Ron can't join is because he is black so they send an white police officer who is on side working for this undercover job and he meant to act as Ron and that officer is called Flip Zimmerman which his real name is Philip. So Ron had a conversation with Philip then they went on undercover before they know it everything was coming to an end .     
    



         

COVENTRY'S HORRFIC STABBINGS

Coventry is now one of dangerous city to live in specially when you trying to go out at night with your friends and family just to have a good time .

Lately knife stabbing has been going on in London so much which have put young people's lives in danger and not young people are worried also there own parents specially worried when they let there on child go out during the day when is daylight or dark. The knife crime first started in London then it has increased in Coventry and West Midlands Police have some sort of  resources saying that gangs in London is trying to get young people's to get into a gang then commit a crime and how these crime happens when gangs puts a gang rap songs on YouTube then it sinks into young peoples brain and the song they listen is actually telling young people go and stab .

At least in Coventry there have be 15 serious stabbings reported to the police across Coventry in the last 12 months and police said that the number will increased even more and residents are concertedly worried when they are staying at home and when they are going out . Knife crime happens every single day and only few gets reported and police has said when another knife crime happens reported straight way and the police can have more knowledge and more resources so they can tackle crime like stabbing .

Even police are trying to put a very strong investigation when the knife crime is happening but what they want to do is who's idea was it first to get into a gang , and who's idea is it to put rap violence songs on YouTube and why they go out and carried attacks for no reasons whatsoever these risky investigation police wants to active .
